DAMI VAUGHAN
I am a Nigerian visual artist, curator and researcher currently based in London.
I grew up in Lagos, Nigeria and moved to York, UK in 2015 to further my studies. I moved to London in 2017 where I undertook my BA Culture, Criticism & Curation at Central Saint Martins.
My practice is centred around culture and memory - processing my emotions and experiences, as well as that of the people around me. I first began to document my memories through photography, but have evolved into a continuous process of studying and documenting people, places and spaces.
Ultimately, I am seeking to synthesise personal and collective memory.
